Sixteen teams. One championship. The race to the NBA Finals officially tips off, with OKC as an early favorite.

Starting today, 16 teams enter the grind for hockey’s biggest prize: a 35-pound, 3-foot silver cup and eternal bragging rights. It’s fast, physical, and hopefully comes with some OT.

Orthodox Christians also celebrate Easter today complete with midnight church services, red-dyed eggs (symbolizing Jesus’s blood), and a feast that may include roasted lamb, tsoureki, and kulich.

For many Christians, today marks Jesus’s resurrection. On the agenda for the churchgoing and mimosa-sipping alike: Easter baskets, egg hunts, brunch — and enough chocolate bunnies to last until Memorial Day.

The Lyrids are expected to peak between tonight and tomorrow. In clear weather, you can see about 10 to 15 meteors per hour just by looking up.

Today, some 30,000 runners give it their all in this 26.2-mile race while 500,000 spectators cheer them on. We’re just here for the signs.
