Jordan Galloway
Freelance Editor

Jordan Galloway is an editor at theSkimm, where she helps shape the Well+Good and Well Played newsletters and develops stories at the intersection of health, wellness, sports, and culture. Her approach to journalism is simple: Make complex topics easier to understand without losing the nuance that matters.

Jordan has worked as a journalist since 2009, with a focus on health and wellness since 2017. Before joining theSkimm, she was a senior editor at Well+Good, where she covered fitness, nutrition, mental health, and women's health. She later served as Fitness Director at Women's Health, where she led fitness coverage and helped readers make sense of the science behind exercise, movement, and healthy aging. Her work has also appeared in GQ and SELF.

Her expertise goes beyond the newsroom. Jordan is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, a certified Pilates instructor, and a former Nike trainer. That firsthand experience shapes how she approaches health journalism, particularly when it comes to separating evidence-based advice from wellness hype and understanding what it actually takes to build healthy habits.

Jordan is also pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern University. Her clinical training has deepened her interest in how physical health, mental health, relationships, and behavior intersect, and how those connections shape the stories we tell about health and well-being.

Health advice changes fast. Wellness trends change even faster. And there's always more to sports than the final score. Jordan's goal is to help readers cut through the noise, understand what matters, and walk away with something useful.

She's based in Katonah, NY.
