Jill doesn’t make as much as Jack. Today (Equal Pay Day) is how far into 2018 women have to work on average to earn what men earned in 2017. Another fun fact: Jill has to pay more than Jack for a lot products.

So, to mark Equal Pay Day, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite things that either eliminate ‘the pink tax’ or support female entrepreneurship. Pssst...the pink tax: when companies charge more for women’s products than men’s. We’re calling BS.

For when you get turned around in the grocery store…

Shop from the couch instead. Boxed is the best way to get the basics delivered to you, and avoid the pink tax. Because they get rid of it on all those basics that like to charge women more (think: body wash, deodorant, and more).

For when you’ve been using your SO’s razor…

You could just shave something off the price. Billie is our favorite way to fight the pink tax and stay smooth. These razors are cheaper and better than the one you randomly picked up in the drugstore. And they get delivered straight to you depending on how often you shave, so you’re never in a prickly situation. Hair today, gone tomorrow.

For when your friend asks for resume help…

Always down to help get the job done. Or help someone get a job. Raven and Lily is a line of clothes, accessories, etc, that employs more than 1,500 female artisans all over the world. And funds microloans to female entrepreneurs. Bonus: their stuff is ridiculously, ridiculously good looking.

For when you have to ask your co-worker for a tampon…

Never again. Lola makes sure you never get caught empty-handed, because it sends a stash straight to your door every month. We love them because they’re organic, easy, and the company’s founded by women.

For when you want to donate some clothes…

Put a bag on it. If you buy something from Cuyana - aka the maker of Skimm A’s wallet - you’ll also get a bag to fill up with clothes you don’t need. Send it back to them. They’ll donate your clothes to victims of abuse to help them get a fresh start. For every bag you donate, you get cash money towards Cuyana. Cha-ching.

For when you want to make the most of that paycheck…

Invest it. Ellevest is one way to do it. You can get a personalized portfolio in under 10 min. And it’s made by women, for women, with portfolios that allow you to invest in companies that support women. Secret weapon, revealed.
