GasBuddy gives you a good idea of current prices at nearby gas stations.Downside: The app relies on reports from people who’ve visited the gas stations listed. So prices are usually in the right ballpark, but not always 100% accurate.
Waze
Waze, a Google-owned app, gives more than just pump prices. Think: potholes to look out for or cars on the side of the road. It also gives directions to your nearest gas station or any other destination.
AAA
AAA isn’t only for paid members anymore. And its app monitors the prices of 85,000 gas stations. Plus, it can help you plan your next road trip.
Gas Guru
Gas Guru gives you all the gas prices in your area based on the fuel servicing firm, Oil Price Information Service. The app, owned by Yellow Pages (remember them?), lets users label your favorite locations and even search prices by fuel type.
Upside
Upside is an app that offers cash back at select gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. To get your rewards, you’ll have to take a photo of your receipt.
