• UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson traveled to Berlin today to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Brexit negotiations are top of the agenda, with the UK and EU at odds over what to do with the border of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

• The Trump administration has announced a new rule to replace the Flores agreement, a 1997 settlement that set standards for detaining migrant children. The administration argues the new rule upholds high standards, but critics say it could mean indefinite detention for children.

• Videos showing robots battling were temporarily removed from YouTube on the grounds of ‘animal suffering.’
