'Buffy, 'Angel' and the Unraveling of Joss Whedon

As 90s teens, we loved "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The demon-hunting, vampire-killing heroine became a TV icon — along with the man behind the series, Joss Whedon. Now, the Whedonverse includes everything from "Angel," "Firefly" and "Dollhouse" to DC's "Justice League" and Marvel's "Avengers."

But in recent years, the person we thought of as a feminist icon in Hollywood has been accused of toxic and inappropriate behavior. "Justice League" star Ray Fisher along with "Buffy" and "Angel" alum Charisma Carpenter are just two stars that spoke out against Whedon. 

Recently, he addressed the various allegations in a Vulture article and admit many things that we can’t unread. Now that we know what we know, should we look at the Whedonverse differently?

Then, we remember André Leon Talley, the cape-wearing fashion icon who taught us about style. Talley was the first — and only — Black creative director at Vogue. He died last week at the age of 73.
