The digital media brand kicked off the Future-Proofed series with a virtual panel and an extension of the Skimm Money Newsletter
May 24th, 2022 (New York, NY) – theSkimm, a mission-driven digital media company, announced the launch of a new franchise, Future-Proofed, as an extension to its Skimm Money offering. Future-Proofed helps bridge the gender and wealth knowledge gap, and offers resources needed to understand game-changing technology and trends in finance — including crypto, blockchain, web3, NFTs, and DAOs. To kick off the franchise, theSkimm hosted a virtual panel discussing the crypto gender gap, followed by a monthly newsletter focused on the evolution of and trends in money.

The virtual event, “Future-Proofed: Closing the Crypto Gender Gap,” helped millennial women decipher how blockchain will impact the future of money and how they can get involved in crypto investments. The 45-minute panel discussion, which took place on May 17, 2022 at 7:30pm ET, included topics ranging from the scope of the crypto gap and its consequences to blockchain equality, and what’s next, moderated by theSkimm’s Alex Carr – host of the Skimm This podcast – and featured crypto experts including:
