January 3, 2022 (New York, NY) – theSkimm today launched its annual How to Skimm Your Life New Year’s Challenge, designed to help Skimm’rs find joy in their everyday routines. As a leading mission-driven media company, theSkimm is dedicated to giving millennial women the tools and information they need to live their smartest lives. And as millions of millennial women continue to navigate the stressors of living in a global pandemic, theSkimm is helping its audience prioritize happiness this year. theSkimm will unlock challenges every weekday throughout the month of January, helping its audience start their day – and 2022 – on the right foot. As challenges are completed, theSkimm will donate to mission-aligned nonprofit organizations, spreading the joy even further.

Presented by Athleta, Fidelity, and Sephora, the 2022 How to Skimm Your Life New Year’s Challenge will start with Skimm’ng your schedule to fight burnout, and feature weekday challenges on everything from career to wellness, money, and more through free daily texting and an interactive online calendar. Skimm’rs will also have access to long form content and guides to dig deeper on topics including burnout and managing stress, book and self-care recommendations, home decor and recipe finds, and money saving tips, among others.

This year’s challenge also includes a new charitable component, theSkimm’s first-ever Joy-Meter in support of nonprofit organizations. For every 25,000 completed challenges, theSkimm will donate $10,000 to one of the company’s mission-aligned nonprofits – Girls Inc., Invest in Girls, Women’s Earth Alliance, and Friends of Karen — all organizations dedicated to supporting women, girls, and families.
