Skimm'r Stories: Caring for COVID-19 patients

April 8, 2020

“We’re terrified of getting ill ourselves, but we continue to show up and work and fight this as long as we are physically capable.” Sarah B. is an ICU nurse in Atlanta, Georgia. Her hospital is seeing a surge in COVID-19 patients, and they are in need of more PPE. That's personal protective equipment. Sarah says she and her fellow healthcare workers are wearing homemade masks over their remaining N95 masks in the hopes they will last longer. If you have PPE at home, consider donating it to your local hospital.

In times like these, community matters more than ever. Let us know how you (or someone you know) is making an impact during the coronavirus pandemic by helping others here.
