EDITOR’S NOTE
Happy Sunday. Recently, I’ve been meditating first thing in the morning instead of reaching for my phone. And, well, the people are right — it does make a difference. That’s inspired me to try a few other new-to-me things, like…
Adding this nostalgic print to my closet. I think of Julia Roberts every time I see it, and if it’ll help me channel my inner Pretty Woman, I’m in.
Stocking my pantry with these chef-approved Trader Joe’s condiments. I thought I’d tried them all, but then I saw the last two — and I need to get to TJ’s immediately.
Getting ready for summer…before Memorial Day. Step one: Tossing the 12 things professional organizers say you should get rid of in May. (Four and five? Guilty as charged, every year.)
Asking for this eyebrow style at my next threading appointment. Apparently, it’s the secret to a lifted look — for much less than the procedure it’s named for.
Watching the film adaptation of one of my favorite novels. I’m usually skeptical of book-to-movie adaptations, but this one has such a stacked cast (hello, Sally Field), I’ll give it a shot.

🇫🇷 If the bag Parisian women are obsessed with looks familiar, that’s probably because it’s giving summer camp — in the best possible way.
👗 Attending a wedding this summer? These four dress trends are what all the chicest guests will be wearing and rewearing to any event they can.
🀄 Move over, mahjong. This centuries-old board game is exploding in popularity. And it’s much easier to learn.
💅 Millennials, the nail polish shade you vowed to leave behind in the 2010s is suddenly cool again. Only this time, it looks much more modern.
☀️ The statement skirt trend isn’t stopping with spring — it’s making its way into an even more unexpected category. (Hint: Think beach.)
If you’d asked us what Hacks scene-stealer Meg Stalter would do next, we would’ve said become the face of Diet Coke or write, direct, and star in a Kayla spin-off. But a pop princess pivot? Didn’t see that coming. Last Friday, Stalter crashed her own look-alike contest (you’ll never guess who organized it) and performed her debut single, “Prettiest Girl in America.” Naturally, the auto-tuned work of art is inspired by her own experiences. “You kind of write about your life, and I noticed that I was the prettiest,” she told Seth Meyers in a late-night interview that could’ve been an SNL sketch. Dressed in a, shall we say, suspiciously familiar outfit, she added that she worked with “400” people on the song, including Jesse Thomas, Matias Mora, Monica, Chandler, and Jen Aniston. A few other highlights from her pop star era? She hosted a pop-up party in NYC (wearing a Hooters uniform, no less), performed a cover of Addison Rae’s “Diet Pepsi” (we dare you to watch this without cry laughing), and made a cameo during PinkPantheress’s Coachella set. Plus, Stalter — and her emotional support hairbrush — appeared on GMA with Hacks costar Paul Downs, who gave Little Miss Singer’s forthcoming album this two-word review.
The obvious question: Is the self-proclaimed “Prettiest Girl in America” actually pivoting to pop? Or is this just one of her bits? There’s some evidence it’s the former — beyond the song, of course. Mora is a real music producer, Thomas’s songwriting credits include tracks for Kelly Clarkson and Louis Tomlinson, and Stalter’s already selling merch (the bikini tee is actually good). But let’s not forget, we’re talking about the woman who invented red carpet stunts. Case in point: Stalter cosplaying as a Dunkin’ cup (your move, Ben Affleck), outdoing us as Diet Coke’s No. 1 fan, dressing as the winner of the “Best Gay Actor” contest, and being the King Kylie to Downs’s Lil Timmy Tim. Plus, Downs, Meyers, Zane Lowe, and Deuxmoi seem to be in on whatever it is. But perhaps most telling? The follow-up to her announcement that she’s retiring from acting. “I won’t be acting unless any role comes my way,” she clarified. “If there’s an offer or audition, I’ll get back into it.” By our calculations, that should be in approximately two seconds.
And now, for the most relatable story of the week: On Monday, Page Six reported Jeff Bezos was selling Koru, his gargantuan superyacht. In just three years, the Amazon founder’s prized possession has given us: a pre-wedding foam party plucked right out of MTV’s Spring Break (RIP); a rotating cast of A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio (perhaps the second most problematic boat he’s ever been on); very enthusiastic PDA (don’t click if you’re quick to queasiness); questionable photo shoots (Instagram Boyfriend Jeff is a vibe); and Bezos’s proposal to his “Alive Girl.” Not to mention, Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s insistence that a certain mermaid sculpture wasn’t modeled after her (sure). So what’s the problem? Apparently, it’s become too famous and “too huge to manage” (our deepest sympathies). Now, while a rep has since denied the rumors, we couldn’t resist a little superyacht Zillow surfing just in case they reconsider. Our top picks:
🛥️ Blingy enough for the couple’s…interesting style, this “gigayacht” includes a heated infinity pool, a “wellness oasis,” a helipad for “convenient arrivals and departures,” and “an extensive water toy collection” (plastic buckets not included). Plus, seven VIP suites — perfect for hosting that all-female Blue Origin crew.
🛥️ Sure, this floating McMansion boasts a dance floor, cinema, beach club, and gym. But most notable? There’s space for 51 crew members and 18 guests — basically, three crew members for every guest.
🛥️ Last but not least, this option is on the smaller side, but it comes from Italian Yacht Group, which is a nice homage to their Venetian nuptials. Oh, and at just $75 million, that’s essentially pocket change.
A highlight of King Charles’s visit to NYC? For Martha Stewart, it was meeting his “hot equerry” — who, based on her comments, sounds just as charming as the internet expected. Martha, thank you for conducting some friendly diplomacy on our behalf.
Even if you have zero interest in basketball, it’s been nearly impossible to escape the discourse around the NBA playoffs. Yes, we’re talking about the New York Knicks — and not just because of their meme-worthy Celebrity Row. With the exception of one Met Gala after-party, the team has been on a pretty wild winning streak, which they hope to extend this afternoon, when they play the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals (set a reminder for 3:30 pm ET). Ahead of Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s next date night (sorry, the big game), we can’t help but wonder: Will Chalamet actually join the team? Will Jenner carry a more…rational bag? Will Ben Stiller make up for missing Monday night by taking the Megabus to Philly? Will Spike Lee get banished to the second row (again)? Will the Knicks get one step closer to its first Finals since 1999? And, if they do, will we all celebrate with Jalen Brunson’s bodega order? Absolutely, positively yes.
Old Navy High-Waisted SleekTech Barrel Ankle Pants
Are we the only ones seeing these viral Ruti pants everywhere? Yeah, we didn’t think so. The wrinkle-free fabric feels more like athleisure than work pants, and the effortlessly cool barrel shape can be dressed up or down for the office, the airport, and errands. The one catch: They’re $250 (OK, $249) — which might explain why these Old Navy pants have developed somewhat of a cult following. In addition to being a very close approximation to the real thing, they’ll set you back $40 (even less when they’re on sale, and they usually are). And while they’re technically categorized as activewear, they’re plenty polished with flats and nice tops. We’ll be wearing these from now until forever.
