EDITOR’S NOTE
Happy Sunday. Forgive the cliché, but we genuinely have a lot going on at the moment. In addition to what NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch referred to as “an event we are tracking at Madison Square Garden” (more on that below), here’s what else is on my radar:
My 11-year-old and I celebrated the United States’ 250th birthday last night by watching one of our greatest cultural exports, 1991’s Father of the Bride. What’s more American than Steve Martin’s hot dog bun crashout, I ask you?
National Women’s Soccer League star Trinity Rodman is on a hair journey that I don’t think any of us should miss.
Zendaya’s first look — call it “heat-dome-conscious goddess chic” — set the tone for what we can expect from her Odyssey press tour. As her stylist, Law Roach, said recently, “Don’t threaten me with a theme.”
While I wish happiness and a good defense lawyer to the couple who got engaged while illegally scaling the Empire State Building, the real story here is her manicure.
The US men’s soccer team plays Belgium in the FIFA World Cup tomorrow night after a hard-fought win against Bosnia and Herzegovina last week. No more red cards, please. Even Caitlin Clark was stressed.

🩳 Still can’t figure out how to style those long baggy shorts every fashion-y girl is wearing right now? Neither could we, until we saw these super wearable outfit ideas.
👗 Move over, Nap Dress — the sundress style taking over this summer is just as comfy and breathable as it is effortlessly cool.
👟 If Amal can look this perfectly on-trend in these solidly 2018 sneakers, so can we.

What a way to close out Pride Month: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Layla Taylor just came out as bi. Let's all raise a dirty soda in congratulations.
If this heat has you ready to hunker down indoors and stay there, then turn up your AC and turn on Netflix, because we’ve got a mystery to watch. I Will Find You (adapted from Harlan Coben’s novel by the same name) dropped last month, but this week it started breaking records as the most-watched Netflix series debut so far this year. The story follows David (Sam Worthington), a father wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of his son, Matthew (Jasper Rainn Lawrence). Upon learning that Matthew might actually still be alive, David breaks out of prison and, with the help of Severance’s Britt Lower, sets off to uncover the truth and find his son. It’s got twists, it’s got turns, and most importantly, it’s got Milo Ventimiglia. Need we say more?
Caroline, senior commerce editor, here. There are few things worse than when you are hot, sweaty, and sticking to a subway seat in short shorts. That’s why these linen pants have quietly become one of my favorite summer-in-the-city wardrobe staples. They’re soft, airy, and have a drawstring waist — which I consider the trifecta of cool (both aesthetically and temperature-wise) for the perfect summer pants. Plus, they don’t drag on the ground, which given my 5-foot frame is always a win. I grabbed them in blue, but honestly, I’m now eyeing the cotton-candy pink. I think it’d look unexpectedly chic with black accessories.
