Happy (almost) weekend. Tomorrow, I'm skipping my usual bagel and using a scallion pancake as my bacon, egg, and cheese vehicle (bonus points if you use this brand). The flaky layers, the subtly sweet scallion bite — between this and Alysa Liu, I’ve never been prouder to be Chinese-American. A few other things I’ll get up to?

  • Trading in the bath mat I’ve had since college (yes, really) for this Bath Stone. It dries fast enough that you’ll never step on a soggy carpet again, is naturally mold- and mildew-resistant, and is made of diatomaceous earth — though don’t ask me what that means. All I know is I’m about to feel very rich stepping out of the shower.

  • Watching the penultimate Love Story episode. I, too, am a sucker for a Kennedy drama, and nobody — not even the French — did effortless cool like Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Excuse me while I steal this look.

  • Listening to Christina Applegate’s new memoir, You with the Sad Eyes, on audiobook. From learning about her experiences with sexism in ’90s Hollywood to her multiple sclerosis diagnosis, it’s made me feel a little less alone in this final stretch of winter.

  • Birding. If you look up “youngest grandma” in the Guinness World Records book, you’ll find yours truly. But listening to birdsongs helps with anxiety and is an analog activity, which my Zillennial brain needs. Two birds, one stone.
