EDITOR'S NOTE
Our team is always walking the fine line between products that are genuinely hacky and semi-ridiculous, but whimsical nonetheless. So if you can’t make it to a body of water this weekend, here are a few products that’ll make your local park feel like one:
This adorable tote bag that magically turns into a lounge chair (no joke). You can use this on a rooftop, too. If you’re looking for an actual chair, we’d go for this collapsible option (it isn’t the most stable, but it gets the job done).
A puffy picnic blanket that’s compact and comes in fun prints.
This ultra-wide sun hat with UPF protection. It’s ideal if you’re going to be sitting outside, but don’t own an umbrella.
A “Towel To Go” scrunchie for major sweaters.
The best way to read for hours without having to lug a ton of books.
Don’t forget to enjoy the long weekend while you’re at it.

We’re here on our collective soapbox to say that Shopbop’s sale section is deeply underrated. Thanks to Prime Day last week, we were reminded of this because the retailer was offering an extra 25% off select styles, but despite that, the sale section on its own has so many good finds. We know we’re a little overzealous to be thinking about the fall, but this chocolate brown faux-leather dress is $35 right now, this pink shacket is cute for summer nights, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t call out this Damson Madder tote bag. Be sure to link your Prime account for two-day free shipping.
Today’s Must-Haves
Here are three of the hottest products on the internet this week:
SOJOS Rectangle Sunglasses: The $20 frames our editor swore by last summer are back in new colors.
Summer Fridays Duo: In this bundle, you’ll get the brand’s ShadeDrops facial sunscreen (which has a milky, serum-like texture), and a mini size of its cult-favorite Jet Lag Mask.
Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush: Use it on wet or dry hair to get knots out with ease.
Reads
The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow
The story: “Justice for Mary Bennet. If you’ve ever found yourself wanting to hear more about Pride and Prejudice’s forgotten sister, this is the book for you. I finished it a few weeks ago, and as an Austen stan, I was pleased by how authentic it felt. The first part of the book covers what happens in Pride and Prejudice, but from Mary’s “outsider” perspective, and from there, we get to see her journey after her sisters are married off. There were so many moments when I found myself unexpectedly tearing up. I was moved by Mary settling into her sense of self and embracing it. This one was originally published about six years ago, but it’s having a major resurgence thanks to the BBC mini series (which I am starting as we speak).” —Margo Ghertner
