Meta Q2 earnings report

Meta (the artist formerly known as Facebook) is hoping to stay friends with investors. Last quarter was a mixed bag: While earnings were up, revenue wasn't. It came in at $27.91 billion, a little short of analyst estimates of $28.2 billion. The company blamed the war in Ukraine for some of the loss, since it paused some ads to help avoid any distractions from public safety announcements. We’ll see if they raked it in this quarter…Meta-phorically.

Spotify Q2 earnings report

Spotify is hitting ‘play’ on its latest earnings report. Last quarter, Spotify saw a 19% year-over-year increase in monthly users. Bringing the number up to 422 million. A positive showing, but still short of the jump that analysts expected. Investors are hoping they’re able to add up the ante in Q4.

Beyoncé's "Renaissance" album releases

The record is sure to break our soul (in the best possible way). Beyoncé’s first studio album since 2016’s “Lemonade” comes out today. It’ll have 16 tracks and is being called “act i” — so fans are expecting a multi-record release. Safe to say we’re already crazy in love with the idea.
