Black History Month spotlights the impact of Black Americans on US history, politics, culture, and daily life. This year, to celebrate its 100th, the theme is: A Century of Black History Commemorations.

Starting today, visitors who aren’t Rome residents will have to pay €2 to access the Trevi Fountain. City officials say the fee is meant to control crowds and protect the historic site. This comes alongside a broader reshuffling of museum fees that makes some attractions free for locals and paid for tourists.
