  • Material. Buttery-soft doesn’t begin to cover how delicious this material felt on my skin. I was shocked by thin it was, especially knowing it had built-in compression. It’s unusually stretchy and reminds me of a SKIMS bodysuit I once tried. This is hands-down the most comfortable material I’ve felt on my body. I experienced zero pinching or pulling and was comfortable enough to dance for three hours straight. While it does have a “no roll” silicon waistband at the top, it unfortunately rolled down a few times. Due to the material's stretch, I was able to fix it with minimal effort, but it definitely wasn’t ideal in the moment.

  • Compression. The compression is very, very good. It’s not the most restrictive, so it didn’t make my waist disappear or anything, but it did do a great job of smoothing out any lines or folds that otherwise would have peeked through my dress. On days when I wore a pair of underwear underneath, the pantylines were nowhere to be seen.

  • Breathability. Since the wedding I attended was outside, I was a little nervous about adding extra layers for fear of a minor heat stroke. Thankfully, the moisture-wicking properties saved the day, and I stayed fresh and cool all night long. I should also mention I was on my period during this test, which usually makes me overheat more, but this wasn’t the case while I was wearing these shorts.

  • Care. Machine-washable and dryer-friendly? That’s music to my ears when it comes to intimates. I tried line-drying them once and can report they dry very quickly. When I tumble-dried them (on a low setting), they came out like new. No shrinking, snagging, or pilling.

  • Compression. I wore this shapewear under a mini dress for a full day out and about during New York Fashion Week, while on my period, when comfort and feeling put-together are non-negotiable. The material was incredibly soft against the skin, yet structured enough to smooth everything out in all the right places. Bloating was my biggest concern, but this kept it completely at bay and invisible under my dress. Honestly, for a moment, I forgot I was even on my period.

  • Comfort. Getting into it didn't require a WWE wrestling match; it glided onto my body easily, making it one of the better shapewear experiences I’ve ever had. It felt like a second skin all day long.

  • Staying power. The waistband actually stayed put. Zero rolling down at the top or riding up at the thighs, even through hours of walking, sitting for shows, and running between events. We’ve all been trapped in a tiny bathroom stall fighting with shapewear. This was surprisingly easy to get on and off during mid-day bathroom breaks without needing a team of assistants. Since I was wearing a mini dress, I was worried about the leg bands showing or digging into my thighs. The edges are so seamless that there was zero visible line, even under a fitted silhouette.
