Let’s give a warm welcome to Glory Edim, the founder of Well-Read Black Girl. If you haven’t already checked out her pod or followed all her book content on the WRBG Insta, what are you waiting for? Keep scrolling to see her recs below…

Best book I’ve read recently…She Memes Well” by Quinta Brunson is a perfect read for someone looking to understand the absurdity and joy of internet culture. I found her memoir deeply funny and endearing.

Smartest purchase I’ve made recently…My electric kettle. I keep it in my bedroom and refill my teacup 24 hours a day.

Products I keep adding to cart…I’m obsessed with anything by Fenty Beauty. I especially love [this] highlighter and Shimmer Skinsticks. Rihanna can do no wrong. For my hair, I always reorder Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream

The three items I always have in my bag…Fenty Gloss BombAesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm, and Apple AirPods Pro.

Self-care product I swear by…I use my Wildling gua sha tool before bed with Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil — it brightens my skin and reduces my under-eye circles. I have to do this ritual before I climb into bed.

Favorite bookstore…It’s a triple tie between Rep Club in Los Angeles, Books Are Magic in Brooklyn, and Sankofa, which is a bookstore and café in Washington, D.C.

Thing I can’t live without when it’s cold…OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil saves my skin every winter.

Psst: This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
