From the Group Chat: The “Summer House” Reunion, Dakota Johnson’s “I Love Limes” Home, and Bad Bunny

EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Sunday. Blame it on Naomi Osaka’s French Open court-ure, but I’ve been feeling inspired to change things up — in my wardrobe and life, in big ways and small. Starting with:

🩴 The flip-flops you definitely wore in your college dorm shower just got a designer upgrade. And we hate how much we love them.

✈️ Forget easy pants. The chicest travelers swear by this carry-on staple for looking put together at 6 am — and still feeling like they’re in bed.

👀 These six effortlessly cool accessories make any summer outfit — even jeans and a tee — look expensive. Of course, fashion people are already wearing all of them.

☀️ We now know what Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t leave the house without. And given that it’s only $24, consider us convinced.

🫐 Even if you have zero baking skills, you can pull off this viral, two-ingredient summer dessert — with virtually no prep required. In the words of one very wise commenter, “Donna, cancel my 3 o’clock.”

Summer House fans, your Super Bowl is finally here. Nearly two months after the joint Instagram Story seen round the world, Bravo aired the first part of the Summer House reunion, in which Ciara Miller, West Wilson, Amanda Batula, and, oh right, the rest of the cast sat down to talk (mostly) about Scandoval 2.0. Turns out, Andy Cohen wasn’t lying when he called it “one of the most intense we’ve ever shot.” A few highlights? Miller, who came prepared with an Ariana Madix-level revenge dress and some shocking receipts, grew suspicious of her ex and ex-best friend in January, after seeing Batula’s phone location (the only time we condone surveilling your friends). Batula admitted she and Wilson kissed for the first time in February, but insisted they didn’t sleep together until after that statement (Carl Radke, A+ for this analogy), a story precisely 2% of America believes. Lindsay “If Looks Could Kill” Hubbard was the reunion’s MVP, mostly for this assist — which led Miller to deliver the night’s most biting comments. So biting even Batula’s ex Kyle Cooke called them “harsh” (we’ll let you be the judge). Oh, and lest we forget, Wilson’s primary question about his nudes leaking.

Naturally, the Bravoverse had…thoughts. Many praised Cohen for this incredibly shady moment (we'll be thinking about that nod until part 3). Some poked fun at one highly questionable set detail, while others made jokes about Wilson and Batula’s, let’s call it, interesting chemistry. And at least a few people asked if no one had taught Batula about girl code. Or, better yet, if Wilson would ever speak? Now, with two installments (somehow) still to go, we can’t help but wonder: Do people in Italy watch Summer House? (Our euros are on “no.”) Will Batula, who said she was “prepared to own up to what I’ve done,” actually take accountability? Will we ever get to the other cast couples (read: KJ and Dara)? Who will return for Season 11? And, perhaps most important, what exactly does “ear stuff” mean? Cohen said "every question was asked." Sir, we're holding you to that.

On this week’s episode of Million Dollar Listing: Celebrity Edition, Dakota Johnson is selling her “I love limes” home. Yes, we’re talking about the midcentury modern “tree house” that inspired green kitchens everywhere, gave us so many memes, and, wouldn’t you know it, included outdoor furniture made from Winston Churchill’s yacht (we wish we were kidding). So in its honor, let’s raise a (margarita) glass to the most absurd homes in Architectural Digest Open Door history:

🏠 Kourtney Kardashian’s kids’ playhouse — which, right, is nothing like the Little Tikes one you had. Instead, it’s essentially a two-story tiny home with cream-colored furnishings (how sensible), approximately 10 books, and Coach x Disney Minnie and Mickey Mouse dolls (relatable).

🏠 David Harbour and Lily Allen’s fever dream of a Brooklyn brownstone. Years before the Open Door tour became “the most cursed AD video of all time,” it went viral for a different reason: a bathroom-sitting room hybrid, which was somehow not the couple’s most controversial design choice. We’ll give you a minute to process the flooring.

🏠 Michael Imperioli’s White Lotus set. Sorry, New York City apartment, complete with vintage furniture, gilded wallpaper, marble busts, and as Imperioli proudly declares, “no modern art.” Oh, and there’s also a walk-in closet turned Buddha room where Christopher Moltisanti and his wife meditate together (because, of course).

🏠 Emma Roberts’s Doll Wall. Don’t be fooled by the innocent start to this tour. About two minutes in, things take a turn when Roberts shoves a desk to the side for “optimal looks” at her “dollykins” — a misfit crew that includes drunk-cowgirl Barbie, Leggy Jill, and Blythe, all of whom Roberts hoped would “come wake” her every night.

🏠 Cara Delevingne’s LA home (RIP) — somehow even more delightfully off the rails than you’d expect. Think: a ball pit, a David Bowie shrine/bathroom, two trampolines, a “pink room” (which has a much more NSFW name), and a literal vagina tunnel.

Besos to Benito for ending the menswear crisis none of us asked for. On behalf of everyone with eyes, thank you.

And you thought you had a demanding boss? Miss You, Love You’s Jamie (Andrew Rannells) has notes. In the new HBO movie, Rannells plays a personal assistant whose job title gets pushed to its limit when his boss, Tyler, sends him to New Mexico to help his estranged mom, Diane (Allison Janney), plan his stepfather’s funeral. Naturally, Diane isn’t exactly thrilled that her son sent someone in his place — but she also hasn’t made many friends since moving from New York a few years earlier. As the pair begrudgingly gets to work, they strike up an unlikely friendship, bonding over long-held resentment and parent-child neuroses in a film loosely inspired by the real-life experiences of director and screenwriter Jim Rash (of The Descendants fame). You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll probably want to call your parents.

Aritzia HomeStretch Rib Vinyl Tank

Caroline, senior commerce editor, back with another summer essential: the perfect tank. As a certified Separates Person™, I’ve spent years tracking down the right tank for all the shorts and skirts I wear over the summer, and I’ve finally found it. This Aritzia one is full-length (read: not awkwardly cropped like many others on the market), and it’s made from a soft, stretchy ribbed material that tucks easily and smoothly into any waistband. And what really sets it apart? The slightly lower U-neckline and wider straps, which make the whole thing more elevated than your typical cami. I’m planning to recreate the model’s effortlessly rich-looking outfit from now until Labor Day. After all, I already have what I need.
