EDITOR’S NOTE
Happy Sunday. After eating an ungodly number of peaches in the name of research, I’m declaring this the best peach cobbler — impossible to mess up, ready in an hour, and very easy to destroy in one sitting (I would know). That’s not the only thing I’m celebrating…
The key to living in leggings — without looking like you live in leggings? Buying a pair with this understated detail, which women everywhere will be wearing this fall.
If your striped tees feel more afterthought than outfit, it’s probably because you haven’t tried the styling ideas uniting French Girls, Cool Girls, and everyone in between (🙋♀️).
Summer’s hottest fashion item? An iconic ’80s sweatshirt that your mom definitely owned — and just resurfaced at Costco before selling out nationwide. Fingers crossed hers is still collecting dust in our attic.
Thanks to Practical Magic, did you also assume adulthood would involve more Midnight Margaritas? Or were you normal? Regardless, I’ll fix that with this simple yet impressive recipe. Just gotta find my coven.
Last time I was in NYC, I logged a month’s worth of steps in 48 hours — while wearing the completely wrong sandals. So I’ll be stocking up on the ones actual New Yorkers are wearing before my next trip.

There’s drama afoot on Nantucket, and it’s something not even Elin Hilderbrand could make up. The culprit? That viral shop sign. For those not following influencers — cue transatlantic accent — “summering” on Nantucket, a quick recap: Earlier in the season, John Sylvia, owner of an artisan craft and antique store, hung a “no influencers” sign after he said people had grown “tired of feeling like extras in someone else’s video.” When the store posted the sign on social media, the internet had…thoughts. Some seconded Sylvia, who, for the record, swore he meant it in a “tongue-in-cheek” way (sure). Others used it as meme fodder (we’d hand over our hard-earned cash for this). And just about every woman with a few thousand followers and (presumably) a $400 Ralph Lauren American flag sweater shot back in the comments. That includes influencer Paige Paul (née Lorenze), whose newly opened Nantucket store has been drawing ridiculously long lines (respectfully, no). In the IG equivalent of War and Peace, Paul implied it was anti-feminist, arguing it dismissed the overwhelmingly female influencer industry. Not to mention, she hung up her own cheeky sign.
Of course, this isn’t the first time the ring-light-wielding battalion has faced backlash for being, well, kind of annoying. Just ask fitness guru Tracy Anderson, whose recently implemented phone-filming ban sparked its own debate — in part because it only applies to people who aren’t blowing their entire grocery budget on a membership. Or, ask the neighborhood of Notting Hill, where some residents have painted their colorful townhomes black to deter all the photo shoots (no one tell Anna Scott). In fact, this isn’t even the first time an influencers v. locals showdown has taken place on Nantucket: This spring, a “bluff docent” was proposed in response to the coastal chaos at Sconset Bluff Walk, a popular photo spot. And there was the Oklahoma native who launched a $3,800 “Camp Nantucket” for her followers, fueling plenty of — to put it politely — gossip. As for which side we’re taking? We’re Team Whoever Wants to Invite Us to a Lobster Bake.

Congratulations are in order for Demi Moore — who recently entered The League of Advanced-Level Hat Wearers™. Last month, the Substance star stepped out in Paris wearing a headpiece that could only be categorized as…a statement. And she’s not the only inductee of late. Without further ado, some other historic achievements in hattage…
🎩 The absolute unit of a hat that Erykah Badu pulled out for Paris Fashion Week, which is what we’d imagine it’d look like if Dr. Seuss had gotten into the couture game.
🎩 Carrie Bradshaw’s gingham monstrosity in And Just Like That… Oh, and before you chalk it up to another certifiably nuts Carrie fashion choice, it turns out Sarah Jessica Parker picked it herself for a reason we don’t quite understand, but will nonetheless respect.
🎩 Jennifer Lopez’s Wimbledon look — which one X user described as “a hat that could cast a shadow over the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica.” What are the chances she was Jenny From the Blocking someone’s view?
🎩 The enormous white hat Zendaya broke out for the Met Gala — so powerful that it relaunched what may be the internet’s most absurd conspiracy theory.
🎩 The eye-catching — or rather, eye-concealing — number Jenna Ortega wore that had us thinking Carmen Sandiego was going through a goth phase.

Let’s raise a glass of pinot grigio to 82-year-old Anita LeBrun, who should forever be known as Minnesota’s Patron Saint of Retirement Home Happy Hour. How do we propose an amendment for her to hit the club with us?

Welcome back, Killing Eve. Well, not quite. But Hulu’s Furious might be the next best thing. The latest show from creator Elizabeth Meriwether (of New Girl and The Dropout fame) follows Alice Black (Emmy Rossum), a former NYPD detective who’s now manning the FBI tip line. But when an old colleague (Scoot McNairy) asks for her help investigating the death of a billionaire’s son, they notice some similarities to another unsolved murder — and she’s soon pulled into a cat-and-mouse chase to catch a female serial killer named Catherine (Lola Petticrew). Catherine’s targets of choice? Rich and powerful men, whom she crossed paths with as an underage sex-trafficking victim. As the title suggests, expect lots of pure female rage — so don’t be surprised if you find yourself rooting for the killer.

Old Navy Light Support StudioSmooth Square-Neck Sports Bra
Caroline, senior commerce editor, here. I simply refuse to spend $100 on a sports bra that I’m going to destroy with sweat — which is where this nice, inexpensive option comes in. I’ve been wearing mine all summer to my usual yoga/Pilates/barre circuit, and it offers just the right amount of support, without feeling restrictive or intensely compressive. Plus, the breathable fabric keeps you dry and feels buttery soft. The best part? It’s normally just under $30, but often goes on sale, so you can shop and sweat to your heart’s content.

Trending products and brands our shopping team has been loving recently.
Outdoor Voices — purveyor of the original exercise dress — is taking 30% off everything until Monday. You'll also get a free tote with your purchase.
Urban Outfitters is taking 30% off sitewide in preparation for back-to-school season. If no one in your house is going back to school, you'll use this big canvas tote for the office or errands runs.
We tried Pamela Anderson's skincare line, and now we never want to wear makeup again.
