“While we are all very excited to get back to work, I don’t think we are quite ready yet physically or even emotionally.” We talked with Leah R., a hair stylist in Georgia, about what it’s like to go back to work during the coronavirus pandemic. The state is allowing some non-essential businesses, AKA places like hair salons and gyms, to reopen. Some workers will be able to earn an income again, but the state’s decision also means many can’t file for unemployment if they don’t feel safe going back to work yet.
