Kylie McConville has been writing, editing, and strategizing on the internet for nearly two decades. She’s currently the VP of Editorial at theSkimm and oversees our phenomenal team of writers and editors to help create the content that you read in our newsletters and on our website each day.

Over the course of her career so far, she’s led editorial coverage at five newsrooms, founded three, and supported editorial strategy, direction, and growth goals for 12. She’s covered everything from women's lifestyle, entertainment, and breaking news to travel, home, and tech. Most recently, she was Editor-in-Chief at Apartment Therapy, and helped found the Gen Z-centric site Dorm Therapy. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Editorial Growth & Strategy at Bustle Digital Group, where she led editorial and content strategy initiatives for The Zoe Report, NYLON, Mic, Scary Mommy, Fatherly, The Dad, and Inverse. Earlier, Kylie was the Editor-in-Chief of Elite Daily, and in 2015, she was a founding editor at Romper. Her work has been published in Explore: The Leading Hotels of the World. She's also appeared on PIX11 and Cheddar News. Once, Beyoncé sent a writer she’d worked with on a story flowers. It’s easily the most important work she’s ever done.

When not saying “let me juust share my screen” or working in the annals of myriad Google docs that she’ll never be able to find again, Kylie loves to read, garden, talk to her plants, and spend time outside. Her second act absolutely includes rehabbing a decrepit villa in the south of Italy while on a journey of self-discovery and love. So basically, Under the Tuscan Sun.

Until then, she lives in Astoria, Queens, with her husband.
