Hey there,

We missed ya yesterday. Hope you were able to take a nice long weekend.

So, we’ve realized there are exactly two quarantine moods: we’re either living in the future and conducting our whole lives virtually, or we’re living in the days of yore…crafting things from scratch, kneading dough for bread, and mailing friends handwritten letters.

That’s why some of our picks this week throw it way back (like waaay back to when candlemakers were the hottest influencers in town). And some throw it a little less far back (to Disney Channel Original Movies).

All we’re saying is: don’t be shocked if next week’s email comes via carrier pigeon.

From our couch to yours…

  1. Books that’ll actually hold your attention. So you started a book two months ago and you’ve barely made it past chapter one? Same. These suspenseful reads will keep you turning pages.

  2. Disney Channel Original Movies ranked. The order of this list is highly controversial. And all we'll say is: justice for “Zenon: The Zequel.”

  3. 12 genius products that’ll make cleaning your home easier. Because you’re constantly wiping down the counter you literally just wiped. This list has things to prevent kitchen messes, a dust solution, something to clean up pet hair, and more.

  4. Make your own candles. Here’s how to get lit like Thomas Edison isn’t even born yet.

  5. 7 tips for making restaurant-worthy salads. For when your homemade lunches are usually just a sad pile of leaves. Consider this your kale to action.

  6. ‘Everything is fine’ tee. Narrator: everything was not fine. But you might as well have a soft shirt.

  7. The best puzzles you can order online. Quarantine turned puzzling into an Olympic sport. And you’re basically Simone Biles. Go for gold.

  8. Workouts you can do with your couch. We didn’t choose the couch life. It chose us.

  9. DIY face masks. Step one: find clay from your cave. Step two: mash with rock. Just kidding. Here’s how to get glowy skin with products you have in your house. Dew it up.

  10. Foods you can regrow from your kitchen. Because you didn’t realize all your friends were scallion farmers. We’re rooting for you.

  11. The 31 best dance movies of all time. You can’t have the Time of Your Life without cutting Footloose or Stomping the Yard. Yikes we really need to Step Up these jokes.

  12. An indoor s’mores maker. We’re on team extra-burnt marshmallows. Don’t @ us.

  13. A feel-good playlist. For when the shower is your new karaoke bar. Enter: Céline, Alanis, and the Spice Girls. This is your moment.

  14. Recipes that make great leftovers. When life gives you lemons...make dinners that you can have for lunch tomorrow. And the next day. And the day after that.

  15. Nail art that you can actually do. Here’s how to do a ‘dotticure,’ and other cute designs. The only thing missing from your home nail salon is an impromptu bend and snap sesh.

  16. Pop culture podcasts. Whether you’re obsessed with the Real Housewives. Or celebrity gossip. Or the latest Netflix rom-com. Or all of the above. This list has a pod for you.

  17. A new internet read we loved: on what the paparazzi are doing now that all the celebs are staying home. Lady Gaga’s song didn’t plan for this.

  18. ...and an old one: that rounds up the best graduation speeches by famous women. As we goooo on…we remember…

  19. And finally, three totally random things that made us happy this week: mindfulness cards, yoga dice, and an artsy cube puzzle

From a social distance,
