Smartest purchase you’ve made recently?
Sam: I recently bought a Dyson vacuum and it was pricey but so worth it. I love vacuuming now.
Lynn: I just bought a new comfy couch. It’s the Lindyn Sectional from Ashley Furniture. It’s been a game changer for my lounging.
What’s a go-to product for your pre-game routine?
Sam: Supergoop Glowscreen. It’s good sunscreen with a little coverage and shine to it.
Lynn: Agreed. I need a good sunscreen and a good hair gel.
Self-care product you swear by for post-game recovery?
Sam: Therabody RecoveryAir JetBoots, “the big legs.” I do these compression legs every single day and swear by them for swelling and recovery.
Lynn: I also swear by “the big legs.” I use the Normatec ones, but any compression legs are a recovery game changer.
What three items do you always have in your gym bag?
Sam: Obviously, a snack. Usually a banana or carb. Plus, a change of clothes and some electrolytes.
Lynn: Sunscreen, chapstick, water bottle. The big three.
The best piece of advice you’ve received?
Sam: Your confidence is yours to maintain. No one else’s words or actions should affect it.
Lynn: You should go out and see the world because no matter what, you can always come back home.
Favorite surprisingly useful item under $25?
Sam: An extra phone charger always comes in handy.
Lynn: Oh, I love that answer.
Your favorite gear for at-home workouts?
Sam: Usually just whatever I wore to sleep in — if I’m working out at home, I want to make the least amount of laundry possible.
The workout clothes that always end up in your laundry basket?
Sam: My favorite black Nike T-shirt because it’s soft and goes with everything.
Your favorite pre-workout snacks?
Sam: Toast with peanut butter, a banana, or a GoMacro bar. I am known for keeping “emergency” snacks in my car, just in case I get extra hungry.
Lynn: I love a smoothie, toast, and always some electrolytes.
Any tips for women looking to get into watching more sports?
Sam: Listen to our podcast, Snacks, and follow the NWSL on social media.
Lynn: Yeah, duh, listen to Snacks. Find a team or player that you love and support them.
